"The mission of the Board of Christian Education of the United Church of Pittsford is to promote life-long learning and spiritual growth among all members of the congregation, under the guidance of the Holy Scriptures, in a safe and caring environment.
Each year, from September through May, the Board of Christian Education provides an Adult Education Class that meets in the Church Lounge on Sunday mornings from 11:20 to noon.
This service provides child care for young children during the worship service.
The Cribbery room is for children up to age 4. It is located by the stairway at the back of the social hall. There are always two adults present in the room to provide a safe environment and loving care for the youngest members of our church family.
The Creative Time program is recommended for children age 4 through third grade and occurs during the second half of the worship service. If space is available, older children are also welcome to participate or help the adult supervisors.
Sunday School is available before worship service, from 9:00 to 9:45, for children in grades pre-K through 6. All classrooms are on the third floor. We welcome new students throughout the year. We welcome parents to stay on the third floor and relax with a cup of coffee and other parents while your children are in class.
Our church has been very proactive in creating a safe environment for our children. Our "Reducing the Risk" program has been in place for several years now, and has been used as a model by other churches that are starting to implement similar programs.
