Women's Ministry

WOMEN’S FELLOWSHIP GROUP

The Women’s Fellowship Group is open to all women and friends of UCP. It is held twice a month – on the 1st and 3rd Thursday evenings of each month at 7:15. The purpose of these gatherings is to promote deeper friendships and personal spiritual growth.

BLESS AND BE BLESSED - BECOME A SECRET SISTER!

“A word spoken in due season, how good it is!” Proverbs 15:23

All of the ladies of the church are invited to participate in this ministry of caring and sharing with their sisters in Christ.

Men's Fellowship

The Men’s Group meets on the 2nd and 4th Thursday evenings of each month from 7:15 to 8:30 p.m. The purpose of the gatherings is to deepen friendships and progress in the spiritual life. The location of these meetings rotates amongst the group members. Presently, the group is meeting at the parsonage (56 Rand Place in Pittsford). This group is open to all men, both members and friends of the United Church of Pittsford.

Family Fellowship

Each month a different group sponsors a family fellowship event. These events are open to anyone in the community -- contact the church office for details.

Here is the schedule of fellowship events for 2007-2008:

Monday Evening Fellowship

On the third Monday of the month, we meet in Howard Hall at 6:00 for a potluck supper and fellowship event. We often have guest speakers on various interesting topics. All are welcome!

Discipleship Class

Each year, under the leadership of Pastor Jim and Sue DeLeys, our seventh grade students embark on a year of study and mission activity in preparation for either Confirmation (for the Methodists) or Believer's Baptism (for the Baptists).
Each student is paired with an adult sponsor, and together they explore what it means to be an active member of a Church Community and a Christian in our world today. This meaningful program truly prepares our youth to become full members of our church. It is a wonderful experience for the sponsors, too!

Library

Browse through the many titles available in our church library on the second floor, just outside the elevator. Relax in a comfortable armchair, or sign out a book to take home.

The children's library is on the third floor by the Sunday school classrooms. There is also a cabinet of videos such as Veggie Tales that may be signed out.
