American Baptist and
United Methodist
Each year we collect gifts to be shared with clients served by CCM! This year we are asked to provide gifts for either children (ages 5-12), especially including warm clothing; teenagers, and adults. The gifts should cost no more than $10 to $15, and they should not be wrapped! There are suggestions for gifts as well as a listing of those gifts that are not appropriate in the DECEMBER-JANUARY edition of the "Dialogue," and availabe in Howard Hall.
NOTE: Gifts for children and youth will be delivered on December 11.
Each year we fill these Christmas stockings to be distributed by the Salvation Army to needy children in Rochester. If you would like to particpate in this mission project you can pick up a stocking (with instructions enclosed) in Howard Hall. The stockings must be returned to our church no later than December 9.
The Board of Deacons, under the advisement of the Mission Committee, has once again designated this year's Christmas Offering to be given to the Fairport Baptist Homes.
This marvelous ministry, designed to care for those among us who find it difficult or impossible to care for themselves, is characterized by Christian hospitality. The unique design of the nursing facility, the caring and committed staff, the model of care provided, is in many ways, "outside the box," of what we are all used to when it comes to nursing homes.
