VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES
- ELDERBERRY EXPRESS: is in need of more drivers. Please phone Gil Landry at 248-6237 if you would like to volunteer.
- COMMUNITY FOOD CUPBOARD of ROCHESTER: (253 North Clinton Avenue) is in need of volunteers. They recently lost some of their workers and need new recruits. Two types of helpers are needed. Since this Food Cupboard delivers to their clients, food must be bagged and distributed throughout the month. Ed, the manager, has drivers for the van but needs one person to go with each driver to deliver. This would be half a day once a month. The other need is to help stock shelves and bag the food. They are open Monday, Wednesday and Friday in the mornings. If anyone would like to volunteer, please call Ed at 325-4990.
- FAIRPORT BAPTIST HOME: (corner of Whitney Road and Route 250) is looking for musicians (pianists, other instrumentalists and vocalists) to accompany them at the 2 PM Sunday inter-denominational worship services. Services typically have three time-honored hymns. Also, they could use help moving residents to and from the 10:30 AM Thursday morning Bible Study.
If you would like to volunteer your help for either event (weekly, monthly, or just occasionally) please call Chaplain Marianne Katz at 377-0350 for more information, or to schedule participation.
