United Church of Pittsford

Welcome to the United Church of Pittsford! We are a moderate sized suburban congregation of about 350 members, affiliated with both the United Methodist Church and the American Baptist Churches – USA. Although our members come from a variety of denominational backgrounds, we attempt to honor both the Baptist and Methodist traditions in the ways we function and support denominational ministry.

There is enthusiasm here for personal spiritual growth, and a special appreciation for quality music in worship. A traditional worship service takes place each Sunday morning at ten o’clock, and a contemporary service on the second and forth Sundays of each month from six fifteen to seven in the evening. This service features a Praise Band, contemporary Christian songs, occasional skits and video presentations, personal reflections, and a time for prayer.

We offer Sunday morning Church School for all ages and Sunday evening youth fellowship groups for both Middle School and Senior High young people.

We participate in the Rochester Area Interfaith Hospitality Network, which provides temporary shelter for homeless families in an atmosphere of generous hospitality, while helping those families find employment (if needed), appropriate social services, and permanent housing.

There is much going on in our church life, providing ample opportunity for fellowship and involvement.
