On Sunday September 10th, we are thrilled to “rally in the troops” from their summer adventures! Students will be invited to participate in the service with an interactive worship piece.
We will also be doing a blessing of the backpacks, so bring your bookbags to the morning service with you (teachers, you may bring your bags too!).
After the service, join us on the lawn for hot dogs, treats, and fun!

A Late Summer Offering for Family of All Ages
Friday, August 25th - 6:30 pm - dusk
And through the weekend
We are all on a sacred path and we each have our own sacred journey, community and individual. The labyrinth is an ancient prayer and meditation tool to celebrate the individual and community journey together. On Friday evening, beginning at 6:30 pm, we invite our UCP community and friends and neighbors to take such a journey together. We will be creating the sacred space - the labyrinth - together, and then we will walk it together with time for reflection. (This will be outside under the trees by the church if weather permits, or we will move indoors if it rains.)
The labyrinth offers a moment to pause from our hurried lives, to enter a space to let go of the things that tangle and ensnare us, to spend a few moments in God’s presence, and then to return to our lives with a renewed sense of God’s calling in our lives, both individually and as a community.
The labyrinth has a single path to the center and back out again, with two-way traffic. Unlike mazes, there are no dead-ends or choices, just a path to follow and walk, that will mirror how we follow and walk on our life’s path. There are many, many labyrinth designs and you will get to experience at least one of them.
True community is filled with diversity, hence all our welcome, and we especially welcome our children and youth to join us. This is for the whole family and for all ages. Hope you’ll join us. Ask Joy or Jimmy if you have questions.
Joy Bergfalk trained as a labyrinth facilitator 18 years ago and has helped groups create labyrinths in many locations. She leads labyrinth walks and retreats for spiritual growth and personal prayer and meditation.
On Sunday, July 23rd at 9:00 a.m. we will have our annual breakfast and outdoor worship service. Breakfast will begin at 9:00 a.m., followed by outdoor worship (weather permitting). It is always a great morning of fellowship. We hope you'll join us!
Don’t forget to bring your own place setting for breakfast, a lawn chair, and a hat!
